Italian fruitwood Psiche mirror

A very elegant and rare Psiche mirror in rosewood entirely inlaid in fruit wood with multiform plant motifs, spirals and geometric motifs, date circa 1830. Rectangular mirror enclosed in a suspended frame fixed laterally inside the portico structure supported by shaped feet. Columns with polyhedral stems crossed by curved leaves arranged in sequence, cornice with architrave enclosed by a border with a twisted ribbon to include spirals with leaves; protruding upper molding underlined by palmettes.

This splendid Psiche of exceptional workmanship made in northern Italy is entirely inlaid in fruit wood, in addition to tilting from the front, can also be rotated inside.
